Doing it for the kids…

You may be aware we recently won a couple of pretty major awards for our work inspiring children and young people about science through the arts. When we toured our show for children Mission to Mars earlier this year, we set up our very own space agency (UNSA) to deliver this work with children in schools and with families in theatres and fields.

We’re currently gathering partners to develop the Space Agency project much further to inspire many more children about science and space travel. Our ambition is to significantly develop the UNSA website to include a series of sci-adventure missions and games for children and their families to play – launching every family who takes part in the game to the UNSA space station. This is not an un-trivial nor a cheap piece of work but we believe it’s going to be properly awesome and inspirational.

Two of our dedicated trustees, Martin Sutherland and Louisa Riches, believe in the project so much that they are running the Run To The Beat half marathon on September 25th with the hope of raising money to kiskstart this project. Each donation they receive through www.justgiving.com/trustees-run will move us closer to realising UNSA’s full potential.

And we’d would massively value your support in our mission to launch. To express our appreciation of your generosity we will feature every donor’s name on an UNSA roll of honour on our website. Provide us with a postal address and we will also send you a special UNSA badge to wear with pride. For UNSA supporters donating over £25.00 we will also send you a limited edition Unlimited Space Agency baseball cap. Look – they’re cool!

For anyone who might be able and willing to be particularly generous, we’re offering the opportunity to name the rocket launching to the Space Station* in the online game in return for a donation of £1000 from an individual or £5000 from an organisation. But any amount you can donate would be massively valued, as we work towards our target.

If you’d like to talk further about the project and fundraising you can call our administrator Gloria 0113 234 5400 or email her at gloria@unlimited.org.uk. You can also make one off and monthly donations anytime at our Just Giving page here.

This is an incredibly exciting time for the company and our Space Agency. We really hope you’ll be up for joining us and supporting Louisa and Martin on this first leg.

Thank you.
